We believe that God has revealed Himself in the entire Scriptures asthe inspired Word of God. It is the final authority upon which we place ourfaith and belief since it is inerrant and complete in it’s revelation to man.
II Timothy. 3:16; Jude 3
We believe and accept the Genesis account of creation as authentic.
Genesis 1; Hebrews 11:3
God the Father
We believe there is only one true eternal God, existing in three persons asFather, Son and Holy Spirit. He is the Omnipotent, Omniscient, OmnipresentCreator and Sustainer of all things.
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He was born of a virgin, yet retained His Deity. Through death He became the redemptive sacrifice for man’s sin and by His resurrection empowers the Believer.
I Corinthians 15:1-4
We believe the Holy Spirit to be the third person in the Trinity. Upon repentance He fills, empowers, comforts, and counsels the Believer into all truth.
We believe that Satan is the personal enemy of God and all that is good, and by whom sin entered into the world through his work of deception. He continues to deceive man, to promote evil, and take man into eternal ruin.
Revelation 12:12; I Peter 5:8
We believe that there will be a final judgment in which God will ultimately condemn Satan into a lake of fire. All those separated from God and who obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ will receive equal judgment.
We believe that man fell into sin and is separated from God. Salvation is a gift of grace that is extended when one truly recognizes the helpless condition to save himself and repents from his ways. It is only through Jesus Christ and His shed blood that one can be brought into harmony with God.
John 6:44; John 14:6; Acts 4:12; Eph. 2:8-9
We believe that total surrender to the Lordship of Jesus Christ is a reflection of being transformed into His image. It is important that our conduct and affairs be consistent in daily living.
Romans 12:1-2; I Thessalonians 5:23
We believe that the Church of Christ is an organism composed of all who have come alive in Jesus Christ. We also believe the local congregation to be a part of the visible Body of Christ and have been empowered by Jesus to administer Scriptural teachings. We accept the literal instructions of Scripture in regard to water baptism, the Lord’s table and foot washing, the right hand of fellowship and greeting, functional roles in sexes demonstrated by the veil for women and uncovered head for men, the anointing of oil, excommunication, marriage, and the ordaining of elders.
We also believe that the teaching of Jesus is the standard for the Believer in human relations. Christians should refrain from the use of force and violence but rather love all people as God’s image bearers. Since our lives are to be transparent, we should employ no oath. We are called to honor all those in authority over us and to obey them when it does not violate Biblical principles.
We believe that Christ called and commissioned the church to go into the entire world, preach the Gospel, Baptize believers, and make disciples of all nations.
We believe that there will be a bodily return of Jesus Christ for His bride, the Church, at which time all believers who have died will be resurrected. Those who yet live will be given eternal bodies to live in Heaven.
I Thessalonians 4:13-18
